Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-04
SlangBridge (“we,” “us,” “this site”) is a slang translation and dictionary website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain English — it felt wrong to explain slang clearly and then bury you in legal jargon.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you contact us or suggest a slang term, we receive whatever you send (like your email address and message). That's it — you can use the translator without creating an account or telling us anything.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect standard technical data: your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and how long you stayed. This helps us understand what's working and keep the site running.
Search queries. When you type slang into the translator, that query is processed in your browser to give you a translation. We may review anonymized, aggregated usage data to see which terms people search for so we can add missing definitions. We do not build personal profiles from your searches.
Cookies
We use cookies — small text files stored in your browser — to make the site work, remember preferences, analyze traffic, and personalize content and advertising.
Advertising (the part Google requires us to tell you)
We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Here is what that means for you:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices.
Third-party ad networks may also serve ads on this site, and their use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies.
Analytics
We may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site. These tools collect information sent by your browser, including pages visited and technical details. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you to us.
Children's privacy
SlangBridge is written to be family-friendly, but it is a general-audience website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Cookies: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features may not.
- Personalized ads: Opt out via the Google Ads Settings link above.
- Your data: To ask what information we hold about you, or to request deletion, email britobrighton9@gmail.com.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the site function (hosting, analytics, advertising) as described above, or if required by law.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
